| Description | My client is a Global Investment Bank and they are looking for an Application DBA Developer to join their UK Account Team.
The role will focus on the application development aspects of SQL Server and Sybase (as well as related toolsets – not necessarily core DBA skills) •Database Performance Tuning •Maintaining and developing Stored Procedures in SQL Server •Database capacity & upgrade planning •SSIS 2005+ •Reporting Services (SQL Server 2005+). •Data Modelling Expertise •First point of contact for the Data Model •Maintain, extend and enhance these schemas as required •Configure new databases to support new business activity •Assist with security set up and access to database systems •Transact SQL Subject Matter Expert •Assist in the resolution of production database issues as they arise To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience: •SQL Server 2005, 2008 •Significant database design and development experience •Confidence in working in a high pressure, dynamic environment •Strong interpersonal skills, in order to work well with demanding business and technical users •Ability to work to tight business deadlines •Strong customer-focus •Ability to troubleshoot and rapidly resolve production issues •Ability to provide a timely response to ad hoc requests and project related work •Experience in the banking/finance industry •Personal characteristics - reliable, pro-active, thorough, confident and personable If this sounds like you, please send your CV to vp@incisive.co.uk |
