| Description | Collections Advisor / Debt Recovery / Recoveries SpecificationsLocation: Windsor Salary: £18,000 - £19,000 basic plus a range of benefits The Role Collecting debts by phone and letter for a client in motor/consumer finance Final calculation of residual debt Collecting payments from customers by telephone, letter and email Responsible for own portion of debtors’ ledger Preparing files for External Agents Following company collection procedures Taking credit card payments Query resolution regarding customer accounts and unallocated cash Cash allocation Negotiating payment plans and settlements within agreed criteria Enforcement of judgments through legal system Tracing ‘gone-aways’ Covering other departmental roles as required General administration work including some for C&R Manager The Candidate The candidate should have previous collections experience, preferably in a consumer credit environment. Full training will be given. An ICM student would be an advantage. It is important that the individual is self-motivated, enthusiastic, and possesses strong communication and negotiating skills. The candidate should be happy to work as part of a professional team in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. Computer literacy is essential and competence is required in Excel and Word.
