| Description | Database Architect - Oracle 10g/11g - Database Design / Development Industry-standard modelling experience (Finance industry is ideal however any industry models experience is sought) Oracle 10g/11g, database design and development, banking/finance, Sybase ASE 12.5.x, 15.0.x, Oracle Coherence, Exposure to .Net and Java, Sparx Enterprise Architect and Redhat Linux Globally recognised investment bank currently looking to recruit an Application DBA/Developer. This role focuses on the application development aspects of Oracle and ideally Sybase and related toolsets (not necessarily core DBA skills) falling under the development arm. Candidates will have demonstratable experience in the following; · High Level/Senior Data Modelling Expertise · First point of contact for the data model · Creating a logical data model · Translating logical data models into physical database design · Defining and documenting changes and additions to the data mode · Verification of run time behaviour of the physical data mode · Varying levels of oversight responsibilities · Implementing efficient databases, including specifying physical characteristics, designing efficient indexes, and mapping database objects To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience: · Industry-standard modelling experience (Finance industry is ideal however any industry models experience is sought) · Oracle 10g/11g · Significant database design and development experience · Confidence in working in a high pressure, dynamic environment · Strong customer-focus · Experience in the banking/finance industry Additional skills 'ideal' skills are Sybase ASE 12.5.x, 15.0.x, Oracle Coherence, Exposure to .Net and Java, Sparx Enterprise Architect and Redhat Linux.
