My client, a leading global Investment Bank, is looking for an experienced senior developer to work on a global development project within their Fixed Income IT division. My client requires a Java Developer for eCommerce eTrading systems. This role would involve strong real time development and object oriented skills and a proven ability to turn high level specification into high quality solutions in tight deadlines. This is a very hands on development and leadership role, working in a very strong technical team, and the candidate would need the ability to write high performance real time solutions working across teams to solve problems from front to back. The skills required are: Java Spring Object oriented design and development Database skills Tibco UDB/Sybase knowledge Agile Processes & Practices E.g. Scrum The knowledge required: Experience of full project lifecycle Front office electronic trading systems FIX knowledge Experience of Investment Banking, especially FX and Rates The ideal candidate will need to be able to be confident enough to work from limited verbal specifications. Consequently, good interpersonal skills are required as the candidate must have the ability to communicate with the business effectively to ensure that projects meet their requirements.
