Description	Project Support Analyst - Windows / Unix (Solaris) / Sybase We are seeking an experienced Project Support Analyst who is excited by the challenge to assist with delivering excellent IT service, application implementation and support. Your responsibilities will include: • Planning, implementing and overseeing the successful rollout of software and related hardware • Implementing new software builds or hardware into the operational environments (test, Production and DR) using the controlling processes of Configuration Management and Change Management • Ensuring effective communication and cooperation with customers and other IT teams within the organisation • Designing, implementing and maturing efficient processes, procedures and documents for the distribution and installation of changes to IT systems • Ensuring that hardware and software being changed is traceable, secure and that only correct, authorised and tested versions are installed • Ensuring that master copies of all software and associated documentation are secured in the definitive software library and that the configuration management database (CMDB) is updated • Reaching agreement for the exact content and rollout plan for releases, through liaison with change management stakeholders • Communicating and managing expectations and agreements of the customer during the planning and rollout of new releases • Reviewing and improving operational processes, procedures, and documentation • Supporting applications from initiation through to post implementation warranty phases of the life cycle • Owning aspects of problem solving within a complex environment • Management and reporting of Release Management activities • Owning aspects of problem solving within a complex environment To be successful in this role you will: • Have excellent written and oral communication skills • Understand the Software Development Life Cycle • Have experience of Windows, Unix (Solaris) operating systems • Have experience with either Sybase, SQL Server databases - SQL, Stored Procedures, etc • Possess understanding of network basics - load balancing and firewalls • Be able to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language • Understand the ITIL framework • Have previous experience in the Financial Services industry Please send through your CV to dw@incisive.co.uk or click Apply Now.
