Description	Job Purpose Our Client is oe of the largest provder of credit cards .This role provides a unique opportunity to learn and understand the key drivers of the business for both costs and income. A key area of focus will be to help with the preparation of the monthly managements accounts delivering an insightful view of results to the business. Part of this process will be to challenge business performance. Reporting responsibilities: • Contribute to maintaining effective financial control through questioning and challenging income statement and balance sheet results. • Assist the development of the monthly Credit Cards financial reporting process to deliver clear, timely and insightful MI and financial reporting to support decision making, strategy development and ongoing performance measurement within the business. • Development of key driver reporting and product/vintage P&L reporting to enhance understanding of profitability. • Support adhoc analysis to support changing business focus and demands. In order to deliver these accountabilities the candidate will need to: • Have financial accounting knowledge [Part Qualified] • Experience of preparing management accounts. • Have strong spreadsheet and financial systems skills (Preferably Excel VBA, Access, and SAP Business Warehouse). • Have a good commercial focus – attuned to evolving business needs and able to support the rapid development of finance capabilities to deliver performance enhancing support to the Credit Cards business. • Have strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate changing customer trends. • Have the ability to distil and communicate key financials clearly within a business context. • Have a good awareness and understanding of the financial services market and relevant accounting developments. Important Skills and Knowledge Areas Written Communication Self/Work Organisation Keyboard/Software Applications - Good working knowledge of Excel. Access and SAP advantageous.
