My client, a global end user are looking for the following: SAP Business Support Consultant - SAP PM, Asset Management Business Process Expert: This role will provide 1st Line Support to the business with the day to day administration, training, authorisation and standard changes of the SAP system in all areas of Plant Maintenance and related Materials Management activities. • This role will provide first line support to the Renewables business for Windfarms (Glens of Foudland). This will initially only involve the Plant Maintenance functionality, however, could extend to involve other areas of SAP such as Materials Management and Project Systems. • This role will be responsible for working with the existing Thermal Power SAP Support Team leader to ensure consistency for the end users. • This role will be responsible for working with the CFIS 2nd line, technical support teams. • This role will be responsible for working with the CEIS Business Solutions Manager regarding any non-standard change requests. SAP Business Support Analyst - The Role: • Support the day to day usage of the SAP Plant Maintenance functionality for the Renewables business: o Receiving and responding to all the initial support calls logged by the Thermal Power SAP Support Team on behalf of Renewables, during normal office hours. o Maintenance of SAP profiles and authorisations for the Renewables Plant Maintenance users. o Maintain Master Data, as required, in SAP for the Renewables Plant Maintenance users. o Communicate any system related activities to the Renewables Plant Maintenance users, including system outages, technical issues and system changes. o Utilisation and management of the Support Team processes including maintaining the Support team mailbox, using HP Open View and Compliance Calibrator. • Support the identification of areas within the SAP Renewables Plant Maintenance system that require change (both reacting to change or defects as well as long term value enhancements). • Work with both the CFIS 2nd line support team for fix on fail, standard change and small change as well as the CE IS Business Solutions team for change initiation/approval/delivery. • Responsible for testing of process and system changes, as required. • Support the design, development and maintenance of training materials including delivery of refresher training and ‘hand holding’, for the Renewables Plant Maintenance users, as required • Support the development of system reports and analysis to identify and monitor best practice and performance. Key Success Factors: • Experience in SAP support within either power generation, large asset management or a utility industry would be required for this role. • Has demonstrated credibility and effective engagement with multiple stakeholder groups. • Strong communication skills. • Effective delivery of predefined Service Level Agreements for the Support Team • Ensure that the SAP system is capable of supporting management of costs and risks. SAP Business Support Analyst - The Person: Essential: • Knowledge of SAP and how it supports the functional areas (experience to “super/key user” level for Plant Maintenance) • The ability to influence and communicate at all levels including experience of influencing activities across two or more of the following dimensions: workteam members / managers; individual’s / team’s; single-location / across-locations; functional teams / cross-functional teams. • Experience operating in an SAP Support role which will ideally have been gained in the electricity, oil and/or gas industries. • The job holder will need to be able to assimilate and provide guidance on a wide range of issues and will need good skills in understanding the key issues and communicating salient points to his/her peers and to the wider organisation. • Leadership skills are essential to both manage cross site project teams and to influence managers and work team members over which the post holder will have no direct line management expertise.
